Our small team provides better service.
How can we help you?
Property.
Buying and selling real estate is generally an exciting time for clients but it can also be stressful. We can help you at every stage of the process, whether you are a first-home buyer, refinancing, building new, a seasoned investor buying and selling regularly, moving to a retirement village, or subdividing land. We aim to reduce as much of the stress as possible.
Our property team is experienced and have
(nearly) seen it all.
Family Law.
Family law is a unique area of law where emotions can be running high. When issues arise it can be a uncertain time for all involved. It is important to get the right advice early on in the process. Richard Swarbrick is a highly regarded family lawyer, specialising in Care of Children Act matters. Richard is a court-appointed Lawyer for Child but is equally able to represent all other interests. If you are not sure of your rights or obligations for care of children post-separation, you should contact us to discuss your situation.
Relationship Property.
We can provide advice at any stage of a relationship, whether prior-to, during, or when a relationship ends. It is important to know your rights and obligations and to discuss how your assets are to be managed within your family structure.
Trusts.
Trusts remain still a popular choice for asset protection. We can advise on all aspects of family trust matters, from creation and administration, moving assets into the trust, through to winding up. We also offer independent trustee services to ensure your trust is administered properly and kept up to date with changes in the law.
There are big changes coming to trust law
in 2021. Contact us to discuss how it might affect your trust.
Estate Administration.
When a loved one dies, it is imperative that their wishes are carried out with dignity and care. We pride ourselves on our estate management work and assist the estate’s administrators every step of the way. The estate process can be confusing and daunting for many, so we aim to make the process as clear as possible.
Estate Disputes and Challenges.
Sometimes when someone dies and leaves a Will, not everyone will be happy with who is left what. Some people die without a Will. We can advise you from any perspective, whether you have been left with little or nothing, or whether another person is disputing a Will you are a involved with.
We can also advise you on testamentary promises claims, or challenging the capacity of the Will-maker at the time they made the Will.
Everything Else…
We are a general practice firm. That means you can come to us with any issue big or small and we will solve it if we can. If not, we can refer you through our network of specialists.
